The Mennonite community in Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua and only 82 km west of Chihuahua City, by paved highway in the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. Cuauhtemoc is an important cattle and farming town known as the Granero del Estado.
The Largest Mennonite community in the world (German descendant farmers with strong religious traditions) is established here since 1921. Main apple producing region in Mexico and famous for their Mennonite cheeses and creams they also produce wheat, oat and corn.
Visit the Mennonite Museum to learn a little more about the culture and way of life of these people who are so uniquely different from our lifestyle. The museum has several rooms showing how the houses and the working areas used to be when these immigrants arrived. There is furniture, clothing, tools, ornaments and other items.
